Who we can't accept

Check this page before you pay. If any of it applies to you, write to us first: we'd rather tell you now than refund you after due diligence.

Last updated 30 September 2026

Restricted countries

We can't act for anyone who is a national of, resident in, or doing business with:

  • North Korea (DPRK)
  • Iran
  • Myanmar
  • Syria
  • Cuba
  • Russia and Belarus, where sanctions apply to the person, the funds or the activity
  • Crimea and the other occupied regions of Ukraine

This follows the FATF "call for action" list and the sanctions regimes that banks apply. Residence or business links to other FATF "increased monitoring" jurisdictions call for enhanced due diligence.

Sanctions

Every client, beneficial owner, officer, protector and beneficiary is screened before we file, and again during the life of the structure, against:

  • the UN Security Council consolidated list
  • the US OFAC SDN and sectoral lists
  • the UK and EU consolidated sanctions lists

A match, or ownership of 50% or more by a listed person, means we can't act. We don't help anyone structure around a sanction.

Industries we don't accept

  • Crypto exchanges, custodians, token issuance, ICOs and mixers
  • Forex, CFD and binary-options brokerage without a licence
  • Online gaming and betting without a licence (licensed operators, see below)
  • Shell banks, and money-service or payment businesses without a licence
  • Arms, ammunition and military goods
  • Adult content and escort services
  • Cannabis and other controlled substances
  • Investment schemes marketed to the public without a licence

Purposes we don't accept

  • Hiding assets or income from a tax authority
  • Moving assets after a claim has arisen or become foreseeable
  • Bearer-share or anonymous arrangements
  • Anyone who won't identify the ultimate beneficial owner
  • Anyone subject to a current criminal investigation into financial crime

Accepted with enhanced due diligence

These cases aren't barred, but they take longer, need more documents and may carry a higher fee. Tell us at the outset.

Politically exposed persons

Current or former public officials, their family and close associates. We'll need a source-of-wealth statement with evidence.

Licensed crypto, forex or gaming

Operators with a licence from a recognised regulator, including under the Nevis Online Gaming Ordinance 2025. We'll ask for the licence and the AML policy.

Higher-risk jurisdictions

Residence in, or business with, countries on the FATF "increased monitoring" list.

Cash-intensive businesses

Precious metals and stones, cash-heavy retail and real-estate development funded by private lenders.

Complex ownership

More than two layers of companies between you and the Nevis structure, or ownership through a trust or foundation elsewhere.

Settlement after a dispute

Where litigation already exists, we'll need a solvency affidavit and advice from counsel before a trust is settled.

How to check before you pay

Send us your nationality, country of residence, the purpose of the structure and, for a company, what it will do. We'll confirm within one business day whether we can act and what documents we'll need, at no charge.

If we decline after you've paid, because due diligence reveals something that wasn't disclosed, we refund the fee less any due-diligence costs already incurred, as set out in our refund policy.
